Down-to-earth yet luxurious is the best way to describe this family-oriented ski-in ski-out hotel. Despite its size, it manages to maintain an intimate feel. Rooms reflect a "mountain eclectic" decor, with rich plaid and floral fabrics, wicker furniture, and wrought-iron lamps. The restaurant has garnered acclaim for its outstanding grilled foods and fine selection of wines. Guests have access to the adjoining Aria Spa & Club and the full-service health club with racquetball, squash, and basketball courts. The best deals at any time of year are the packages, which might include lift tickets in winter or sports massages in summer. Pros: right on the slope, spa and health club, nice views of creek. Cons: staff can be hard to find, concrete exterior, expensive parking.
