This large Marriott on the city's waterfront (and the first of its brand in Scandinavia), has great views of Christianshavn, and it's a well-oiled machine, like many well-known chain hotels. Sadly, it lacks any feeling of being in Copenhagen, let alone in Denmark. It has superior business and conference facilities, a great fitness room, and even separate sauna and steam rooms for men and women, but vacationers might prefer to spend time at a hotel that has more local flavor, ambience, and character. Guest rooms are very comfortable and of a good size, but breakfast is not included in the rate. The restaurant and bar (Terraneo) advertise Mediterranean cuisine.
